1. Who we are
LingoVale is made and run by Moonlathe Technologies Ltd in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). You can reach us at hola@lingovale.com. Our company registration details will be added here as soon as registration is complete.
2. Agreeing to these terms
By joining the waitlist, creating an account or playing LingoVale, you agree to these terms and to our privacy notice and cookie notice. If you don't agree, please don't use LingoVale.
3. Who can use LingoVale
You must be 13 or older. If you're under 18, please make sure a parent or guardian is happy for you to use it. You can have one account, and it's for you alone.
4. The waitlist
LingoVale is opening a few places at a time. Joining the waitlist is free and doesn't commit you to anything. We'll email you when your place is ready, but we can't promise when that will be. You can ask to be taken off the list at any time.
5. Your account
You sign in with a link or a code sent to your email, so keep your email account secure. You're responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else has used it, choose Log out on every device in Settings and tell us.
6. Free and paid plans
Right now LingoVale is free for everyone who has a place. We plan to offer a free plan and a paid plan, as shown on our home page. Before any paid plan starts, we'll update these terms with the full details of prices, billing, renewal and cancellation, and we'll never charge you without your clear agreement.
When paid plans start, the law gives you a 14 day right to cancel a new subscription. If you start using the paid features straight away, you'll be asked to agree that you lose that right once you've begun using them. You'll always be able to cancel a subscription so that it doesn't renew.
7. Playing fairly
Please don't:
- try to get into anyone else's account, or into parts of LingoVale you're not meant to reach;
- overload, attack or interfere with the service, or use automated tools to use it;
- copy, resell or scrape the game, its art, its voices or its Spanish;
- use LingoVale for anything unlawful.
Each player has a daily allowance of voices and pronunciation checks, so the game stays affordable for everyone.
8. What's ours, and what's yours
The game, its art, characters, writing, voices and software belong to us or the people we license them from. We give you a personal, non transferable right to use LingoVale for your own learning while these terms apply.
Your progress is yours. You can clear it or delete it from Settings whenever you like. We don't keep your recordings.
9. The Spanish
Every line is written with care in Castilian Spanish, and read aloud by a computer voice. We work hard to get it right, but it may contain mistakes, and it isn't a substitute for a qualified teacher or an official qualification. If you spot a mistake, tell us at hola@lingovale.com and we'll fix it.
10. Changes to the game
LingoVale will keep growing and changing. Places, features and languages marked "coming soon" are plans, not promises of a date. We may change or remove features, and occasionally take the game offline to improve it. If we ever close LingoVale, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email.
11. Our responsibility to you
We provide LingoVale with reasonable care and skill. If something goes wrong because we've broken these terms, we're responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We're not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, for business losses, or for problems caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as a failure of your device or internet connection.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law doesn't allow it to be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
12. Ending things
You can stop using LingoVale and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Unless it would be unsafe or unlawful, we'll tell you why and give you the chance to put things right first.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when paid plans start. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change matters we'll tell you by email before it applies. If you don't agree with a change, you can delete your account.
14. The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If there's a dispute, you can bring it in the courts of England and Wales, or in the courts of Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there. Please talk to us first at hola@lingovale.com; most things can be sorted out quickly.
